Field Trip Itinerary for Tuesday, May 4, 2010
The MLPA Blue Ribbon Task Force will begin a field trip at approximately 12:15 p.m. and conclude no later than 4:45 p.m. Members of the public are welcome to join the task force members for all or part of the field trip, but must provide their own transportation. Details about the specific stops are:
12:15 PM - Meet in Elk Valley Rancheria parking lot (2332 Howland Hill Road, Crescent City) to arrange carpools
12:45 PM - Stop #1: Smith River Rancheria, Howonquet Hall Community Center (501 North Indian Road, Smith River, across the street from the Lucky 7 Casino); the task force will have lunch here and the Smith River Rancheria has generously offered to provide lunch for members of the public
2:30 PM - Stop #2: Pelican State Beach parking lot (U.S. Highway 101 at Gilbert Way), Smith River
3:50 PM - Stop #3: Point St. George, south end of Tolowa Dunes State Park (parking lot of the former U.S. Coast Guard Station at the end of Radio Road, Crescent City)
